PYP: Leftist bid at board control

Tom Hearn, liberal psychologist and habitual board member, went to great lengths in his Saturday My Turn to fault the Coeur d’Alene school board for ending the PYP program, otherwise known as U.N. globalist values for little kids. Mr. Hearn’s pitch? He says the trustees failed to study the program and decided based on some unethical hidden agenda. Ethics is founded on honesty. Let’s see if Mr. Hearn abides by his own rules. Did Mr. Hearn disclose in his My Turn that he interviewed unsuccessfully for the most recent trustee seat or that he stated in his interview that he supported IB/PYP? No. That information might have been useful to anyone reading his letter.

The positions up for election are those now held by Pete Broschet in Zone 5, John Goedde in Zone 2 and David Wold in Zone 1. State’s control limited at NIC

Next trustee meeting rescheduled

Though state-level leaders are closely watching the chaos at North Idaho College, they have limited control over the college’s operations. “It is unfortunate to see the college experiencing turmoil amid an ongoing investigation into its accreditation — which would significantly impact current NIC students, businesses and the entire region if lost,” Madison Hardy, Idaho Gov. Brad Little’s press secretary, said in a statement Wednesday. Comments from Little’s office came after three fiery meetings of the NIC board of trustees held last week.

NOTICE OF HEARING ON NAME CHANGE A Petition to change the name of Douglas Blaty-Clifford, born 1-8-1983, in Westlake Village, CA, residing at 5010 E Frazier Dr, Post Falls, has been filed in Kootenai County District Court, Idaho. The name will change to Douglas Blaty; I want to change my name because as a medical student and future physician, it is very difficult to deal with my adopted last name "Blaty-Clifford." It gives me problems with taking exams and filing in spaces, and is also difficult when it comes to assignments and designated email accounts. I also need my name officially changed to Blaty because when I take my medical licensure exams in June of 2011, it is required that all of my IDs match my school name with is Douglas Blaty. I have been known as Douglas Blaty my entire life and it will make everything much less difficult and confusing if I can officially use "Blaty" instead of my longer hyphenated last name. The petitioner's father is living and his address is 5010 E Frazier Dr Post Falls, Idaho 83854. The petitioner's mother is living and her address is 5010 E Frazier Dr Post Falls, Idaho 83854. A hearing on the petition is scheduled for 9:30 o'clock a.m. on 12/23/2010, at the County Courthouse. Objections may be filed by any person who can show the court a good reason against the name change. Date: November 22, 2010 By: Deputy Clerk Legal 1459 November 26, 2010 December 3, 10, 17, 2010
