French parenting secrets
Much as I'd enjoy it, this column is not for book reviews. So while I'll refrain from comment or even from reading this (not yet published) book, its autobiographical synopsis held me at rapt attention. I had to share. "Bringing up Bebe: One American Mother Discovers the Wisdom of French Parenting" was published this week by Penguin Press. If you'd rather skip the full read, at least peruse author Pamela Druckerman's column in the Wall Street Journal online. My children are grown, but it's fascinating nonetheless.

The best Government money can buy! Does that ring a bell? Oh goodness sake, President Trump is not a politician; Drain the swamp, make American great again? Oh no, what about all the big money that the pimps have spent, Oh I’m sorry they are called Lobbyiests. Their job is to bribe our politicians, men and women and their staffs, to do their bidding. The Democratic party used to be the party for the working man. Now they are so far left we’re not sure whom they represent! Open borders, undo everything Trump has done and make America great again! Giving Iran the OK to buy or build warheads to take out the US or Isreal giving millions of dollars. Releasing war criminals to kill more of our troops again etc etc.

LETTERS: Dazzling - and otherwise
What I love about this small town newspaper is the diversity. There is always some brilliant commentary by a recognized expert, countered by off the wall, internet hype repeated by a self-described expert who has never read the Constitution, a proposed bill before Congress or perhaps even Dr. Seuss.
