Norman B. Schelin, 80
Norman B. Schelin passed away Feb. 23, 2010, at the Loyalton in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, after a long illness. Norman was born Jan. 30, 1930, in Forsyth, Mont., to Floyd and Eva (Wolfe) Schelin. He was the oldest of five siblings.

RACISM: Here's the cure
This country needs to take a deep breath and calm down for five seconds. Watching national news over the last year, there’s no shortage of self-proclaimed experts rushing to a microphone or keyboard to tell us what another person is thinking or intends; usually without even knowing their target. We’re all being categorized and labeled by race, job, religion, location, sex, etc. I’m never surprised at how quickly those who claim to hate stereotyping immediately stereotype those they disagree with.

Everybody knows "what" the Coeur d'Alene Public library is. It's that big brick building down by the park that's full of books. It's a great place to go for a program, to read, or do a little homework.
