How a surviving spouse can avoid probate in Idaho
When a loved one passes away, navigating the probate process can be overwhelming during an already difficult time. In Idaho, surviving spouses may have access to a simplified estate administration process that can save time, money, and stress. For many married couples in Idaho, setting up a revocable living trust is the best way to eliminate the need for a probate at either or both spouses’ deaths. Cinco de Mayo marks the anniversary of the 1862 victory by Mexican troops over invading French forces at the Battle of Puebla. The triumph over the better-equipped and much larger French troops was an enormous emotional boost for Mexican soldiers led by Gen. Ignacio Zaragoza. Participants dress as Mexican and French troops, and as Zacapoaxtlas — the Indigenous and farmer contingent that helped Mexican troops win.

Retired drill sergeant brings leadership, compassion to Lake City Center
It isn't immediately apparent that Lake City Center Executive Director Nancy Phillips is a retired U.S. Army drill sergeant who directed deployment teams in support of overseas operations and spent 20 years in active military service. Her voice is gentle and kind, and she is not of large stature. “There’s a picture of me as a drill sergeant,” she said Monday, beginning to smile. “I look like a 12-year-old.”

...even though the blue you see doesn’t match what I see
Is your green my green? Probably not. What appears as pure green to me will likely look a bit yellowish or blueish to you. This is because visual systems vary from person to person. Moreover, an object’s color may appear differently against different backgrounds or under different lighting.
