Photo by BUSCEMA PHOTOGRAPHY The Thorns North FC 14 girls soccer team lost to the EW Surf at home in their first game last Saturday, then traveled to beat the Spokane Sounders North 5-4 in the afternoon. Thorns goals scored by Lyla Maestas, Poppy Moreau, Quinn Baily (pictured) and Stella Hartzell. Avery Doran, Hatty Lemmon, Ellie Carper and Brielle Buscema played goalkeepers for the two games. Brielle had 10-plus saves during the first game.
