The Timbers North FC 09 boys soccer team took first place in the U14 boys Gold Division at the Pend Oreille Cup this past weekend in Sandpoint. The Timbers played two games on Saturday at Travers Park, winning 5-1 vs. Hells Canyon B09 Frasier and 9-0 vs. FC Missoula. In the first game vs. Hells Canyon, Isaac Lowder scored a hat trick with assists from Jacob Melun and Ethan Luna. Taylor Smith also scored a goal with an assist from Ayden Cragun. The final goal was scored by Blake Wise on a PK. In the second game, Timbers goals were scored by Brooks Judd (2), Taylor Smith, Jacob Melun, Luke Fritts (2), Rowan Wyatt, Ethan Luna (2). Assists were contributed by Brooks Judd (2), Isaac Lowder, and Mason Taylor (2). On Sunday, the Timbers beat Flathead SC FVU B2008 Green 11-0 at Travers Park. Goals were scored by Luke Fritts (2), Isaac Lowder (2), Ayden Cragun, Jacob Melun, Blake Wise, Stefan Pawlik, Creighton Lehosit, Miles Hart, Rowan Wyatt. Assists came from Taylor Smith, Mason Taylor (2), Ayden Cragun, Sam Mandel and Rowan Wyatt. Stefan Pawlik was primarily the keeper of the Timbers' goal with a little help from Jacob Melun, Blake Wise, Isaac Lowder, Taylor Smith and Brooks Judd. The championship game was cancelled due to a high AQI level from wildfire smoke. Based on the most points earned throughout the weekend in their age and division, the Timbers 09 boys were declared champions.
