STATE 5A, 4A SWIMMING: Lake City champs: Timberwolf girls capture first state title; Robillard repeats for Lake City boys

“I had a good idea that we could contend with some good athletes coming up,” Lake City coach Michelle Sobek said. “This year, with the chances and only two automatic bids from our district, I wasn’t certain our kids could do it. To win a state title, we had to get some wild cards and our athletes had to step up and fight their way in. Once I knew how many wild cards we had, I knew they had a shot and things looked pretty good.”
