The Sting Timbers FC 03 Boys Red soccer team finished as runners-up at the Idaho State Cup championship in Boise on May 25-28. Sting Timbers beat FC Nova Gold 2-1 in the opening match. Ronan Malaghan and Cooper Proctor each scored once. Their goals were assisted by Cooper Proctor and Christopher Swider. In the second game, Sting Timbers tied 1-1 with CGA Academy SC Sounders Elite. Chris Koch scored for Sting Timbers. In the semifinal game against Idaho Rush Premier, who beat their previous opponents with scores of 12-0 and 8-0, Sting Timbers was victorious with a score of 1-0. Ronan Malaghan scored and was assisted by Logan Koller. Goalkeeper Tyler Allred made many saves to achieve the clean sheet. Sting Timbers played Boise National Timbers in the championship game, and lost 1-0.
