Courtesy photo Over the Memorial Day weekend, the Post Falls Baseball Club 10-and-under team played in the Coeur City baseball tournament at Croffoot Park in Hayden. Saturday they lost all 3 games, making them the last seed for Sunday. On Sunday they battled O’Shays and won. They went into extra innings against Helena coming out on top 12-6. The championship game was Post Falls Baseball Club against the Norseman. Post Falls Baseball Club ended up winning 12-11 to win the tournament. Courtesy photo The Sting Timbers 05 Girls Red soccer team traveled to Boise to participate in the Idaho State Cup tournament this last weekend. They brought home third place with a record of 3 wins and 2 losses. They beat PVSC 3-1. They beat the Indie Chicas 2-1. They lost to Canyon Optomist Inferno 7-6 and to Nova 6-1. They played Inferno again and beat them 3-1 to take third place. Sting goals were scored by Abella Voigt (3 goals), Mackenzie Goings (4 goals, 1 from a PK), Avery Waddington (3 goals), Ella Morton (1 goal), Jocelyn Dennis (3 goals), and Elise Frazier (1 goal). Assists came from Mackenzie Goings (5 assists), Jocelyn Dennis (4 assists), and Elise Frazier (1 assist). Mekare East-Peters had 38 saves as keeper. Courtesy photo Team Real Life wrestlers traveled to Nampa for the 3 Style Idaho State Wrestling Championships held May 11-12 at the Ford Idaho Center. The wrestlers competed in folkstyle, freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling. A wrestler skilled enough to win in each style in a given year is considered a Triple Crown Winner. Team Real Life had 3 Triple Crown Winners this year — Ridge Lovett, Damion Hamilton and Chandler Axtell. Courtesy photo The Renovators under-18 volleyball team played this past Memorial Day weekend at the JVA West Coast Cup in Long Beach, Calif., in the Open division with 20 of the best teams in the country. They won the Silver Division with a record of 6-2 and placed 11th overall. This was the final club performance for the team’s seniors who are committed to play in college — Kaitlyn White (Whitworth), Allison Munday (Idaho), Taylor Tarble (William Jessup, Calif.) and Arlaina Stephenson (Saint Leo University, Fla.). VOLLEYBALL

Lake City camps set: Lake City High head volleyball coach Mike Summers heads the instructional staff for the T-wolves Volleyball Camp, scheduled for June 25-28 at Woodland Middle School due to construction at Lake City High.

The Elementary Camp, for those entering grades 3-5, will meet from 9 to 11 a.m. each day. The Advanced Camp, for those entering grades 6-8, will meet from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. each day.

Sting Timbers FC 02 Girls: The Sting came in fourth place at the Idaho State Cup tournament in Boise over Memorial Day weekend. In their first game on Saturday morning the Sting beat the Boise Nationals Timbers 2002 Girls 3-1. Geneva Bengtson scored 2 goals for Sting (assisted by Julie Stith and Sydney Harbison) and Madyson Smith scored 1 goal on a penalty kick.

Then on Saturday evening after waiting out a thunderstorm, the Sting lost to FC Nova 02 4-1, with the lone Sting goal scored by Madyson Smith.

On Sunday the Sting lost to the Indie Chicas 02 2-1. Madyson Smith scored the goal for Sting on a penalty kick.

On Monday, in the consolation game, the Sting tied FC Nova 02 2-2 as Julie Stith scored both goals for Sting. Then the game went into PK shootouts. Sting ended with a loss of 5-4 in the shootout. Sting PK goals were scored by Julie Stith, Abbie Lyman, Madyson Smith, and Tierra Lambert.

Autumn Lambert was in goal all weekend for the Sting.
