The Sting Timbers 05 Girls Red soccer team went undefeated and won the championship of their bracket in the Bill Eisenwinter Hot Shot Tournament last weekend. The Sting won its first game  8-0 against Missoula. Abella Voigt had a hat trick. Other goals were scored by Taleya Jones, Ella Morton, Gabrielle Henkle, Ember Morgan, and Jocelyn Dennis. Assists came from Elise Frazier, Mackenzie Goings, and Brynn Johnson. Game two the Sting beat Blitzz Gold 3-0. Abella Voigt scored once and Avery Waddington scored twice. Assists came from Mackenzie Goings and Mira Crawford. Game three STFC beat the Sandpoint Strikers 4-1. Goals were scored by Abella Voigt, Mackenzie Goings, Mira Crawford, and Ella Morton. Taleya Jones had 2 assists. The championship game was played against Hells Canyon and went into overtime with the STFC winning 3-2. Ella Morton and Avery Waddington scored during the game, with assists from Jocelyn Dennis and Ella Morton. Elise Frazier scored the winning goal in overtime. Keeper Mekare East-Peters had two shutouts and only had 3 goals scored on her the whole weekend.
