<p>JEROME A. POLLOS/Press Heavy machinery tears apart one of the concrete supports of the 71-year-old Appleway bridge Wednesday at Stateline. Construction crews assembled a temporary bridge to work off of over the Spokane River. The new bridge is expected to be completed by spring of 2012.</p>
