OPINION: Just like everyone else, Idaho’s Attorney General must comply with the law
Three years ago, I joined five other former Idaho Attorneys General in describing that important position as “the …
IDFG: Listen up, Legislature
We are FORTUNATE to live in a state with tremendous opportunity for hunting and enjoying the outdoors.
ELECTION: Pay price for mistakes
In the letters to the editor, I read a lot as to what we need to do and I agree. What I don’t read is how we get it done. History, if one would remember it, once showed Idaho voters how it’s done.
GAY: And tired of being bullied
“I am a human too.”
PERVERT: Look it up, you haters
My Random House College Dictionary may be more than 40 years old. But it contains the following definitions for “pervert:” To turn away from the right course of action, to lead astray morally, to lead into mental e…
PHOTO: Judged to be inappropriate
Do you have any idea how irresponsible your photograph of a child with a clearly stressed dog is?
WOLVES: Spending on wrong priority
The Idaho Legislature has approved spending $400,000 to kill wolves. Really? The same funding the Idaho Depredation Board was given last year: $400,000 annually to track, chase by helicopter and kill wolves in the …

BARBIERI: Press tried to smear him
This is one of the most poorly researched and written articles I have read in some time. There is not a single printed example of “fear-mongering” statements made by Shahram Hadian at this luncheon. Not one! Yet, b…
BARBIERI: Let us not be afraid
As I read Vito Barbieri’s recent confirmation of his intelligence with his cry of “be afraid, be very afraid, the others are coming,” I thought of our country’s history. Italians from Southern Italy began immigrati…
EASTER: Back to basics
If you strip away the chocolate bunnies and colored eggs, the Easter celebration, established during Constantine’s reign in the 330s AD, was to commemorate the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. Jewish historian, Flaviu…
