CRASH: Victim thankful for help
On April 13 I was on 1-90 freeway headed east toward Coeur d’Alene, looking forward to a hike on Tubbs Hill with my dog. I was stationary in traffic at the construction area when I was rear-ended by a car at highwa…
SCANDAL: Reflects on gays, not church
Yet another example of anti-Catholic bigotry from Chris Belt in his April 26 letter. As I’ve said before: keep it up. It just keeps rolling off our backs — like water off the duck’s — as it has for 2,000 years and …
VETS: Shop for best med prices
I’m a disabled Vietnam vet and have been getting my generic heart meds from the VA. They charge $24 for 90 pills. To my surprise I got 100 of the same at Costco for $8.50. Recommend that all vets check prices at Co…
FLAG: Long may she wave
I went and saw the flag at mile marker 27 and I must say it bought tears to my eyes and a smile to my face. I defended this great country and this is just one of the reasons why.

After reading the article in the Coeur d’Alene Press, I wanted to express my opinion.

OSPREY: Get a bird's-eye view
Just a quick note to extol the virtues of the osprey cameras. We just happened to check on them because we walked by the one closest to Tubbs Hill last Saturday and saw some action.
JESUITS: Critic wasn't wrong
This is in defense of the man who wrote the letter exposing the Jesuits. His letter contained facts about the Jesuits not widely known because of a deliberate campaign to stifle the truth. What is more to the point…
LUCKY: 96, and well fed
My wife and I were having dinner at our favorite Mexican restaurant on Government Way. We were talking to the manager about it being my 96th birthday. People across from us asked — are you really 96? I replied that…
ISLAM: Muslims vs. Christians
Agree with Shahram Hadian’s analysis of the Islamic threat on some points, but I strongly disagree on others. For example, “Radical Islam is a creeping menace in the world and it won’t rest until all are subject to…
