CLERK: Perfect example of hypocrisy
I have concerns about Kim Davis, Kentucky County Clerk who is thrice divorced passing judgment on gay couples. I find it hypocritical. She states it violates her religious freedom. She is an elected official and sh…
ABUSE: By all means, do something
In response to Jane Robertson’s letter (ABUSE: Please, don’t look the other way. Sept. 13). My mother taught me to speak up when I see something wrong. Don’t wait for someone else to do it. Don’t ignore it. Ms. Rob…
ABUSE: Please, don't look other way
You know your neighbor is abusing his dogs. You choose to ignore it. You tell your children to stay away from that side of the street. You don’t look your neighbor in the eye. You don’t discuss it in the neighborho…

VACCINES: Paying for bad judgment
It is irresponsible and reprehensible so many moms refuse immunizations for their innocent children. Do these parents realize when their children grow up and join the military or most public positions they will be …
VETS: Thanks for free chow
On Wednesday at our weekly breakfast in Hayden, someone anonymously paid the tab for members of the Marine Corps League of Coeur d’Alene. We would like to thank the person(s) for their generosity. Thank you again, …
RANTS: Keep them to yourselves
As frustrated moderates we enjoy reading attack letters to the editor accusing us of being a progressive liberal. As a pro-gun, pro-Coeur d’Alene Chamber of Commerce supporter, and ex-small business CEO, we enjoy r…
