CITYLINK: Provides important services
After reading the “C’mon and Take a Free Ride” article by Geoff Carr, published on Tuesday, Sept. 8, I felt it was important that I write in.
The article included many stories that no doubt are true. I have ridden CityLink many times over the past five years and have trained individuals with disabilities on how to use the free public transportation service. I have been very impressed with all the drivers on these buses. They are friendly, they keep an eye out for everyone on the bus and intervene when necessary. I appreciate this service and our community is lucky to have it. I will continue to use the CityLink buses and train more individuals over the coming years to use it.
The CityLink Para Transit service was a small mention in the article. This service is phenomenal! Again the drivers are wonderful and care about the job they do. Some of the individuals I work with are not able to use the fixed route bus service but are able to use the para transit service for work and recreation.
Without both of these services many people with disabilities would be stuck at home. Thank you CityLink and CityLink Para Transit for providing this great service in our community.
