OPINION: Just like everyone else, Idaho’s Attorney General must comply with the law
Three years ago, I joined five other former Idaho Attorneys General in describing that important position as “the …
SNYDER: Has pledged to help Trump
Have ya noticed that all of a sudden each and every Republican Congressional candidate just can’t wait to get to Washington so they can help the president with the Trump agenda? Yea right! I’m calling BS. Let’s rem…
VOTE: Be informed with online guide
With the primary election fast approaching, the need for unbiased, nonpartisan voter information is critical. An informed and active electorate is the key to a healthy democracy, but how do we make that happen?
ADLER: Wrong about police at Starbucks
Dr. Adler states in his May 2 OP/Ed that “Police officers, it must be noted, were in an untenable position because they were not aware of Starbucks’ policy. Still, they accepted the word of the manager rather than …
AMADOR: Protecting vulnerable citizens
I have had the pleasure of working with Rep. Paul Amador and a group of concerned citizens on improving our child abuse reporting laws in Idaho over the past two years. Rep. Amador took the lead in the Legislature …
VOTERS GUIDE: Correction not enough
Your original Voter Information tab in Monday’s paper is doubtlessly the most incompetent, irresponsible and apparently unedited example of what’s wrong with newspapers today.
LEROY: Right man for the job
I am voting for David Leroy for Congress and would also like the readers to consider David. Here is why. I have known David since 1978 and have observed his dedication to the people of Idaho as Attorney General and…

SCOUTS: Leave the kids alone
I am fed up with the transgender loony-tunes who deny biological reality and demand that our laws reflect their absurd views. If they want boys and girls to be in the same organization, start one and simply call it…
SIMS: Shouldn't the rules apply to her?
It seems that one of our candidates is trying to break the rules. Why shouldn’t a legislator live in the district that they represent? It seems wrong on so many levels to live outside of the district that a legisla…
CANDIDATES: Do you support building and zoning regulations?
As a resident of Kootenai County, I am deeply concerned about the recent decision of Commissioners Eberlein and Bingham to vote to allow property owners of Kootenai County to opt out of the building permit process …
AUTOS: Bring back turn signal indicators
Car manufacturers have been making cars safer. Such as the auto-braking, sensor monitoring and back-up cameras.
VOTING: Article needed more info
Like most elected officials, I take my voting record seriously and was disappointed in the April 28 Coeur d’Alene Press article regarding local officials and their voting record. The article quoted 28 elections whi…
NONINI: He has our vote
My family recently attended a Nonini for Lt. Governor Meet and Greet at Lordship Church in Dalton Gardens. My two sons, my mother, and myself listened as Bob Nonini spoke about the Idaho he loves and has lived in a…
