VOTING: Article needed more info

Like most elected officials, I take my voting record seriously and was disappointed in the April 28 Coeur d’Alene Press article regarding local officials and their voting record. The article quoted 28 elections while failing to mention many elected officials living in unincorporated areas of Kootenai County are not eligible to vote in municipal elections. I believe voting records are important, especially candidates soliciting votes from constituents. The Coeur d’Alene Press reporting should have listed the total number of eligible elections for each official instead of misleading readers by suggesting 28.
