The Inferno opened with a 2-1 win over the Idaho Rush, on scores by Gabe Novak and Logan Koller. The Inferno blanked the Flathead Rapids 4-0, on goals by Logan Koller, Alex Moate, Alex Peters and Matt McLeod. Josh Nilson earned the shutout in goal. The Inferno edged the Missoula Strikers 3-2. Caleb Calkins scored twice, Logan Koller once. The Inferno lost its last game to the Nelson Selects 3-1. Logan Koller scored for the Inferno, with an assist by Alex Moate. Courtesy photo Team Real Life wrestlers traveled to Cody, Wyo., to participate in the Yellowstone Middle School Duals. This tournament is a dual format which means that teams participate against other teams to obtain a team score which is dependent on the performance of the individual wrestlers. Team Real Life combined with members of Moses Lake Wrestling Club to help round out its roster to compete against all-star teams from Colorado, Utah, Nebraska, 2 teams from Wyoming and 3 teams from Oregon. The wrestlers are pictured in downtown Cody after the tournament as they were buying some Mother’s Day gifts prior to the ride home. On Friday, the Sting defeated Sting Timbers Boys 06 Green 4-2. Jacob Molina scored 3 goals. Ari Rumpler had a goal and an assist. Gavin Samayoa and Jensen Elliot each had an assist. On Saturday, Sting tied FC Alianza 1-1. Ronan Sternberg scored the goal. Later, Sting beat Sandpoint Strikers FC Kramer 8-0. Jensen Elliot had a hat trick. Kai Delio scored 2 goals. Jacob Molina had one goal and 2 assists. Ronan Sternberg had one goal and an assist. Landon Miller scored a goal. On Sunday, Sting defeated the Missoula Strikers 4-1. Kai Delio and Ronan Sternberg each scored 2 goals. Lachlan May had 2 assists. Jacob Molina had 1 assist. In the championship game Sting defeated Flathead Rapids Black 5-1. Elise Frazier had both goals, and Mia Bond had the shutout in goal. In their second game the Sting Timbers beat the Valley Thunder Lightning 3-1. Alize Duvall had 2 goals, assisted by Elise Frazier and Grace Breisacher, and Grace Breisacher had one goal assisted by Duvall. In the third match against Flathead Rapids Black the Sting Timbers played a player down and still managed a 3-1 win. Chase OBrian assisted Alize Duvall for one goal, and Jada Armstrong and Macie Barrett each scored once. In the championship game, the Sting Timbers lost 3-0 to the Missoula Strikers. On Saturday, the Sting Timbers beat Storm FC G02 Showalter 2-0. Goals were scored by Riley Anderson and Geneva Bengtson assisted by Kameron Fisbeck. Alex Plucker had the shutout in goal. Also on Saturday, Sting tied Boise Nationals Timbers 02 Red 0-0. In the semifinal game on Sunday, Sting tied Laurel Storm Purple 2002 1-1. Geneva Bengtson scored for Sting and Madyson Smith assisted. The game went into penalty kicks with Sting winning 3-0. PK goals were scored by Geneva Bengtson, Abbie Lyman and Grace Anderson-Mosher. Alex Plucker had 5 saves during the game and blocked all 3 penalty kicks from the Storm to win the game. In the championship game on Sunday afternoon, Sting beat Idaho Rush Nero 2-0. Sting goals were scored by Elizabeth Scarlett assisted by Abbie Lyman, and Geneva Bengtson assisted by Madyson Smith. Sting Timbers ’07 girls: The Sting Timbers beat the Inferno 10-3. Rachel Corette had a hat trick with 2 assists from Natalie Thompson who, along with Annabelle Rogers, also had hat tricks. Libby Morrisroe and Kate Mauch each scored 1.

Sting Timbers FC 03 girls red: Playing in the annual Bill Eisenwinter Hot Shot Tournament last weekend, the Sting Timbers beat the Idaho Rush 1-0 and the Indie Chicas 2-0, then lost 4-0 in the championship game FC Missoula. Sting Timbers goals for the tournament were scored by Amber Aittama and Kali McKellips, with a header goal by Chloe Biediger.

Sting Timbers FC girls 04 red: The Sting Timbers finished second at last weekend’s Bill Eisenwinter Hot Shot Tournament.

The first draw on Saturday was against Nampa’s FC Alianza Pegasus squad, and resulted in a 4-0 win. Goals were scored by Lucy Evans, Amy Corette, Kalena Flowers and Ellie Morrisroe. Amy Corette, Shelbie Shriner and Molly Foster had assists. Danika Nowak had the shutout as keeper.

The afternoon game was played the Missoula Stirkers Red group, and resulted in a 1-1 draw. Ellie Morrisroe had the Sting Timbers goal, with Amy Corette assisting.

Sunday saw the Sting Timbers play to a scoreless draw in regulation play against the Sandpoint Strikers Eddy/Williams team in the first round of the playoffs. Danika Nowak was in goal for the shootout, won 3-2 by the Sting Timbers on goals by Cooper Horton, Amy Corette and Molly Foster to advance to the title game. The Sting Timbers lost 1-0 to the Missoula Strikers Red in the final.

Sting Timbers 05 girls: Last Saturday at the Bill Eisenwinter Hot Shot Tournament, the Sting Timbers held the Missoula Strikers to a 1-1 tie as well as a 1-1 tie with the Flathead Force Green.

Jocelyn Dennis had the goal in the first game. Teleya Jones scored the goal in the second, and Mekare East-Peters held the opponents to 1 goal each game.

Sunday the 05G Red played the Sandpoint Strikers and won 2-0. Mira Crawford scored the first goal and assisted Avery Waddington on the second goal. Mekare East-Peters had the shutout in goal.
