(Sept. 26 in the Coeur d’Alene Press) Presently, a large percentage of our kids ‘graduate’ without needing to know how to ‘read?’ Most of our kids kids don’t need to know math, and they graduate from our local high schools? Now, virtually every student can graduate and nobody is held back? In spite of this, presently, about 20% of our youth are ‘driven’ to create futures and persevere through Advanced Placement classes and enter America’s universities. This can leave about 80% of our youth virtually unprepared for life.
