Beware Facebook Groups if you seek the truth

In something of an election week tradition, this newspaper’s editor spoke to the local Pachyderm Club last Friday. The topic was a fascinating chart produced by Denver lawyer Vanessa Otero that attempts to peg media bias. Using her sophisticated, copyrighted methodology, the chart ranks The Associated Press, major newspapers, news networks and online entities, showing which do the best job of impartial news reporting, which lean left or right, and which are so disreputable that they hardly fit in the bottom corners of the chart.

Chiropractic myths and facts

On a recent shopping trip I was reminded that even very intelligent, well-educated people don't fully understand much about my chosen profession...chiropractic. Times have definitely changed for the better and more and more people are enjoying the benefits of chiropractic and are living testimonials to the healthy lifestyle that chiropractic can help you live. Champagne, sparkling wine, Cava, Prosecco - and probably a few names I have missed - they are all fun and festive wines with varying degrees of sweetness, effervescence and alcohol. One thing we all know for sure, though, is they set a festive mood at this festive time of year. The status of the "bubbly" market has never been better here in North Idaho; we have access to many sparkling wines that span appellations and price points. We can literally meet all tastes with the selection we have from our distributors.
