STATE HIGH SCHOOL TENNIS: Frosh Rickert wins, Sandpoint girls make program history with first team title
“This has always been a goal of mine and it feels so amazing to accomplish as a freshman — also having the team win state is just as amazing,” Rickert said. “I have been working toward this my whole life and have been working really hard with the team this season and with my hitting coach in Spokane to prepare for this.”

I’m really excited for the future. I told them hang your head high … everybody had us the No. 4 team (out of four) in the league and we won league, won districts and beat the No. 1 team in the state. We weren’t even supposed to be here, so for us, that’s a win. Next year, we’re coming back, and we’re going to be stronger.”
