The debate is heating up
Many of you heeded our call to attend the June 4, Tuesday morning meeting regarding the Uniform Land Use Code which makes changes to local zoning ordinances. The County's claim that their intent to make the codes easier to interpret has fallen on deaf ears if participants at recent hearings are any indication.

What is a father? He is a man who makes sure that you have new school clothes when school starts, and who works to put food on the table without hesitation. Our Idaho Association of Realtors (IAR) employs a full-time lobbyist who is on "the hill" as much as most legislators, making sure the real estate profession's opinions are heard.
In this corridor you can trust
The Nov. 25 issue of Coeur d'Alene Press featured a "My Turn" column written by representative-elect Kathy Sims. In her article she falsely accuses the NIC Board for not following a legal process in the acquisition of the education corridor. Her allegation that the NIC Board of Trustees acted in violation of the Constitution is misleading, false, and grounded on a distortion of the facts. * First, Ms. Sims accuses Trustee Judy Meyer of a conflict of interest. She states, "The appraiser is a business partner with an NIC Board member who also sits on the Board of Mountain West Bank."
Big red trucks, Santa and candy canes
When budget cuts at Kootenai County Fire and Rescue caused the elimination of the volunteer firefighter program it was thought that may have ended the decades-long tradition of the Christmas time Candy Cane Run in Post Falls. But the fire trucks and Santa will be out in the neighborhoods this week. They were in Dalton Gardens on Monday and Pinevilla and Ponderosa in Post Falls on Tuesday.

Seller beware!
For some of us, the annual act of spring cleaning may have stretched well into the fall. And why not? The added time at home has provided plenty of opportunities to clean out closets and clear away clutter. It’s no surprise, then, that all the tidying up has translated into a surge in online sellers wanting to cash in on their unwanted items.
