For crazy weeknights, dinner in a bag that isn't takeout

Life is busy. We don't always have the luxury of thumbing through our favorite cookbooks, marking appealing recipes with sticky notes for dinners sometime off in the future when we will somehow have time to salt-cure a cod or dry-age a side of beef in our garage fridge. Sometimes, we just need to get dinner on the table. It doesn't have to be fancy, but it should still be tasty and nutritious.

3 fresh takes on the basic boneless chicken breast

Boneless, skinless chicken breasts are literally THE white meat of the meat world. Safe and healthy travels!

Traveling can be so much fun and I can't wait to fit lots of it into my summer. It can also be really rough on the body. Whether you are traveling alone, on a business trip or you're on your way to an amazing family vacation, long hours in a car or an airplane can leave your mind and your body stressed, tired and sore.

Do you have pain that comes and goes fairly often?

Pain can go away or vary from day to day, but that doesn’t mean that there isn’t a problem. For example, if you notice pain in your lower back or your knee every time you go up and down the steps, then this is a sign of a problem. The more you ignore it, the greater the problem can become. Pain does not simply go away or fix itself; your body usually adapts and makes it seem like the issue is resolved. This is why, when you least expect it, you bend over, brush your hair or lift a grocery bag and the pain brings you to your knees.

One's destination is never a place, but a new way of seeing things!

Don't forget to keep your physical health in mind as you plan your trip. I have suggestions for you to help those trips be the best ever and will explain why it's so very important to follow these guidelines.

Healthy learning: Pack that backpack right

As you send your child or teen back to school you're double checking that you have gotten everything checked off the list. But did you check the safety of their backpack? According to doctors, between the ages 11-16 is the period of most rapid growth and is also the period of time when most children are in school, 175 days a year. If we assume that kids start wearing a backpack in the first grade on through high school, that adds up to around five years of solid backpack wearing!
