Bits and pieces
You already know the real estate market is strong, especially if you are trying to buy a house. Sellers know too when they get multiple offers and sell their houses for more than list price. So rather than repeat the same old saw we decided to mix it up a bit this week. Here are excerpts from some of last week’s real estate world:
Fulcher: This is no time for fear or panic
The deteriorating economy, and hysteria over the coronavirus pandemic, is not what a sitting president should like to see in an election year.
Malloy: Fulcher: This is no time for fear or panic
The deteriorating economy, and hysteria over the coronavirus pandemic, is not what a sitting president should like to see in an election year.
Weather effects
Before anyone gets overly concerned, I am not taking the place of Randy Mann or Cliff Harris, although the weather does play a big part each year on the grape crop, both here and abroad. Over the last several years we have seen everything from severe cold snaps in the appellations of the Northwest to drought in parts of California. Some of these events have had big effects and others not as much. Here is a roundup of the weather effects for the appellations of the Western U.S.

GIFT: Good deed sets hearts aflame
My niece and neighbor walked up to trading company recently to buy valentine candy for their class. They barely had enough money so the gentleman behind them in line paid for them. The girls say he was a firefighter and we would like to say thank you so much. He didn’t have to do such a good deed but didn’t even blink an eye to cover their bill. Thank you whoever you are.
BROOKS: He's right again
Bill Brooks is on target in his concern about the increasing concentration of power in companies that are absorbing (buying) other companies (Coeur d’Alene Press, Nov. 30).
