Rethinking a fatty dip to have a healthier side
Is there a chip dip in the world that isn't wonderful? No matter what the flavor, at heart most are tubs of sour cream or melted cheese. Few foods are more satisfying.
Is your home fire smart?
As the rains dissipate and we approach the dry season, fire becomes a household word in north Idaho. Risk is the downside of living in these lovely woodlands, but we can have it both ways. Homeowners can keep a park-like setting, while reducing fuels and fire risk and satisfying property insurers.

Benefits of organic virgin coconut oil
Coconut has become one of the most popular oils in the past few years and for good reason. The health benefits of organic virgin coconut oil are astounding. Not that long ago coconut oil was considered to be a "bad" fat that contributed to heart disease. This was due to the fact that most coconut oil in this country was processed and hydrogenated thus changing the fat makeup of the oil. Dips help us eat healthier snacks
Maybe you need another idea for packing fiber and vitamins into your child's lunch. Or maybe you're looking for a way to convince yourself to eat more fruit. Either way, making a dip (or three) to dunk your fruit in can make it a little more enticing, and a lot more fun.
PORK: One way to get past TSA
I just read where in Seville, Spain, a mosque was to be erected in an area of contention similar to the one at Ground Zero in New York. Rather than mobs protesting and causing possible conflicts, the people simply buried a pig at the proposed building site. The ground was then considered contaminated and the mosque was built elsewhere.

Yes, the photo on A1 Sunday was objectionable. It was insensitive. Hopefully, it also was effective.
Age fighting tips for mothers, daughters and everyone else!
The No. 1 suggestion I have for young people today is: Wear your sunscreen. In your late teens and early twenties, protection of your skin is key! Sure, your Mom chased you around with the sunscreen when you were little, but now it's up to you.
