As a young Gen Xer, I am part of the last generation to know a childhood without the pressure of social media and the constant inundation and temptation of the internet and smartphone.

Unlike headaches, which range from dull to acute, migraines can last for days, interfering in one’s ability to function. Migraines commonly include intense and unilateral pain, nausea and vomiting, and light sensitivity, which may include auras.

MY TURN: Freedom to read

.As a licensed psychologist specializing in pediatric mental health, it is concerning to see our society in such high distress, with seemingly ever-increasing escalation in anger, hate, conflict, anxiety and division permeating our nation, and our local community. As a nearly lifelong resident of North Idaho, it is heartbreaking to see the loss of civility in our region. Never have neighbors hated and attacked each other as during recent times. Never has there been such a loss of respect and politeness among community members. Our children are watching and listening, and we are letting them down. We have lost our way. Unkindness is ruining our home.
