Arcadia Nicklay's letter did prompt me to email George Green with my continued support for the Lake City Playhouse and its vast variety of superb performances. Maybe, I will take away a better understanding of "RENT," in the more intimate venue of the Lake City Playhouse, than when I saw it many years ago in a much larger theater.
RENT: Decide merits for yourself
I'm writing in support of Lake City Playhouse presenting the musical "Rent." According to some letter writers, plays whose characters include homosexuals and transvestites should not be produced. This criticism assumes that homosexuals are evil people.
RENT: To go or not to go
This is in response to the letter from Arcadia Nicklay (Dec. 7) regarding the Lake City Playhouse production of the musical "Rent." I feel it is only fair to offer a description of this theater piece from another perspective so that members of the community can make an informed decision as to whether to see this production.
