The Bayview property is still facing issues applying for the dock installation through the Idaho Department of Lands. On Wednesday, the Lakes Highway District sent a transfer document to Kootenai County officials to give the property to the county at no cost in order to move the permit process forward.

Dispute over Bayview dock may end with property transfer
A document to transfer the Bayview property from Lakes Highway District to Kootenai County was issued from the highway board to county commissioners Wednesday. If signed, the document would give the property to the county at no cost to them, allowing them to proceed with pursuing an Idaho Department of Lands permit to install a new dock.
