Coeur du Christ freshman quarterback Grant Clemens (11) throws a pass during practice Monday morning at Holy Family Catholic School in Coeur d'Alene. After two years of being an associate member of the Idaho High School Activities Association, Coeur du Christ, a school with grades 9-12 and roughly 60 students, has become a full member of the IHSAA this school year, and is starting a football program this year. The Saints, who compete in the new class 1A (the smallest of Idaho's six classifications), also offer volleyball and boys basketball, which played as associate members the past two years. Coeur du Christ's first football game is Aug. 23 at 7 p.m. vs. Lakeside at the Marimn Health Coeur Center in Worley.
