New calves and other cattle are seen on the Rathdrum Prairie this spring. A symposium addressing concerns regarding protection of the Rathdrum Prairie Aquifer and the preservation of agricultural lands and open spaces in the face of rapid development in the region will be held at 9:30 a.m. April 20 at the Kootenai County Fairgrounds.
