This massive "anvil" cloud was seen during Friday's sunset over western Post Falls. According to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, the flat, spreading top of a cumulonimbus cloud can often be shaped like an anvil. These "anvil" clouds are many times associated with stormy weather.
