A $500 donation by bankcda will buy some Thanksgiving turkeys. Turkeys & More Coordinator Evalyn Adams said the nonprofit feels very thankful for this nice boost as contributions have been down this year compared to a year ago. The goal has been to serve more vulnerable families this year because so many are facing very tough financial times. The $60,000 budget was based on buying 2,000 turkeys, but Adams is worried it will not be enough as the price of turkeys is very high this year. If you would like to help a local family enjoy a nice meal in their home for this cherished holiday, please mail a check to Turkeys & More, P.O. Box 267, Coeur d'Alene, ID 83816; or go to turkeysandmore.org to donate safely online. Help Fight Hunger and Feed Hope for almost 10,000 persons this Thanksgiving.
