Turkeys & More recently received a $2,500 donation from the Kootenai Electric Trust, a Platinum Donor as well as a $500 Gold Donor check from Kirby of Coeur d’Alene. Thanks to these generous funds and others, Thanksgiving turkeys have been ordered and will be delivered to more than 20 food banks and other social service agencies this year. President Nancy Nelson said that by asking and receiving funds all year long Turkeys & More are able to supply turkeys through the food banks to vulnerable families in our community. There shall be more than 10,000 family members benefitting from this community effort and each shall be able to enjoy a traditional American holiday dinner, thanks to folks like these. She said donations of any size are always welcome and can be made through www.turkeysandmore.org, or checks may be mailed to P.O. Box 267, Coeur d'Alene, ID 83816.
