The Coeur d'Alene Lady Thunder won their third hockey tournament of the year last year, the 16U Jetspeed Division of the CCM Detroit Girls Invite. Jessica Bobiles of the Thunder was named Howie’s Hockey MVP. The Thunder lost in their opening game of the weekend, but allowed just four goals in four wins that brought them to the final, where they shut out Belle Tire of Michigan 5-0 to win the championship. In the front row from left are Samantha Taub, Remmy Kiltz, Danika Johnson, Jessica Bobiles and Brooklynn Gentz; and back row from left, Elsa Jehle, Norah Adoretti, Logan Greene, Brooklyn Ingram, Aubry Borchers, Ailey George and Charlie Groff. The Thunder is ranked among the top 10 16U girls teams in the nation. Their next competition will be at the Wickfest in Calgary over the Thanksgiving weekend.
