Lake City High ASB president Jacob Carter holds the trophy aloft as students and players alike celebrate after Lake City won the Fight for the Fish spirit competition Friday night at Coeur d'Alene High. The event included boys and girls basketball games between Coeur d'Alene and Lake City high schools, and was held for the 23rd time, but the first since 2020 because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

An overflow crowd of some 2,400 looked on as Lake City High won the spirit competition for the 17th time in the 23 years of the Fish games.
