Seven athletes from the Kootenai Trap Team competed July 5-9 in the USA Clay Target High School National Championships in Michigan. Keira Bohannan, Gavin Tiller, Seth Cook, Noah Cook and Sadie Rose Davidson were selected as the top five to compete in the team division. The team placed 163rd out of 240 teams. S. Cook and Tiller hit two 25s and Bohannan hit one 25. The team hit a total of 443 out of 500. This was the first time Kootenai had a full team compete at nationals. In the individual division. N. Cook, with a score of 96/100, and Bohannon, with a score of 98/100, qualified for the finals. They scored in the top 400 out of 1718 shooters, placing them in the top 1% of the 34,049 USA Clay Target High School shooters in the nation. From left: Bohannon, Brooklyn Charles, S.
