NWAC VOLLEYBALL CHAMPIONSHIPS: Home cooking .. Cardinals' bid for conference title fueled largely by local players

NIC swept Tacoma in the opening round of the NWAC East Region tournament last Saturday, then beat Lane in four sets to advance to this weekend's Elite 8 at Pierce College in Lakewood, Wash. The Cardinals (26-4) will face Lower Columbia (27-5) of Longview, Wash., tonight at 5 in a quarterfinal match.
