Gold and Platinum donors recognized by Turkeys & More. Evalyn Adams, coordinator of Turkeys & More, thanked recent donors who have contributed funds to help buy 1,800 Thanksgiving turkeys. An anonymous donor gave $5,000. Adams emphasized plans are to feed more than 7,000 people for the November holiday and additional donors have helped to raise a total of nearly $10,000 so far. An additional $42,000 will be needed to buy the turkeys by late summer. She expressed sincere thanks to all who have contributed already, and said additional donations will be welcome with checks made out to Turkeys & More and mailed to P.O. Box 267, Coeur d'Alene, ID 83816. IRS confirmation has been received by Turkeys & More as an official 501 (C) 3 nonprofit, so donations will be tax deductible. There is concern about the price of turkeys this year due to various avian (bird) flu, and Adams said the volunteer group may need to increase their total budget.
