The Thorns North FC 14 Girls Black and Green soccerteams competed this past weekend in the 31st annual Bill Eisenwinter Hot Shot Tournament in Coeur d’Alene. The two teams played against Eastern Washington Surf and Sandpoint Strikers in the U8G Gold bracket, taking both first and second place. Thorns goals were scored by Sophia Moreno, Harper Andersen, Stella Hartzell, Kayleigh Guyette, Poppy Moreau, Finley Martin, Allison Legg, Quinn Baily, Brielle Buscema, Hatty Lemmon, Audrey Rietze, Lyla Maestas, Sophia Moreno, Allison Legg, Rylee Smid, with assists by Brielle Buscema, Finley Rauscher, Poppy Moreau and Quinn Baily. Audrey Rietze, Rylee Smidt, Avery Doran, Harper Andersen, Finley Rauscher, Brielle Buscema served as goalkeepers.
