Rosie Cedar project aims to improve forest health

Not expected to impact wolverines

A 14,000-acre forest health project that includes logging has received a green light from the U.S. Forest Service. The work is not expected to impact wolverines reportedly seen in the area. The Rosie Cedar site is located along the south side of the Interstate 90 corridor between Highway 97 and Highway 3 on the Coeur d'Alene River Ranger District of the Idaho Panhandle National Forests. The Forest Service has prepared a decision notice and finding of "no significant impact," according to a press release.
