Post Falls School Superintendent Jerry Keane accepts an award and an embrace from Kootenai County Task Force on Human Relations President Christie Wood Saturday. "It was an opportunity to tell these people how important they are to the community," Wood said. "We didn't want to wait another year. These awards were from last year. For us, we want to recognize people who work so hard for human rights and civil rights all the time. We didn't want to wait any longer." (CRAIG NORTHRUP/Press)
