The Thorns North FC Girls 07 soccer team finished second in the gold division at the 30th annual Bill Eisenwinter Hotshot Tournament. The Thorns started off on Friday defeating NSC Montana 07 3-0 in the tournament opener, with goals from Natalie Thompson (assist Fiona Macdonald), Macdonald (assist Jamie Lawrence), and one from Kennedy Hartzell off of a deflection outside the box. On Saturday the Thorns squeezed out a win against Missoula Strikers Red 07G-PR with two early goals from Thompson and Macdonald. In the final few minutes Thompson scored from a penalty kick to put the Thorns up 3-2. Riley Brazle (assist Macdonald) and Thompson (deflection) scored against the Indie Chicas 07 AI in a 2-0 win Sunday morning, to advance to the finals. In the finals, the Thorns lost to Billings United BU Pink 07G-PR 2-0.
