The Thorns North 03/04 girls soccer team competed in the Idaho State Cup in Boise on May 28-31, earning second place in their division. In the first game against Idaho Inferno Soccer Club 03/04 Copa, the Thorns won 3-0. Goals were scored by Isabella Lucky, Olivia Wyatt and Molly Foster. Hailey Jo Parks had the shutout in goal. Saturday’s game against BYSL IFFC 03/04 Premier ended in a 1-1 tie, with the Thorns goal scored by Taytum Curtis. In the semifinals, the Thorns won 8-0 over PVSC United 03 Rose. Goals were scored by Olivia Wyatt, Shelbie Shriner, Taytum Curtis, Claire Romero, Riley Scherr, Molly Foster and 2 by Reagan Cherry. Hailey Jo Parks had the shutout in goal. In the championship game, the Thorns fell 4-3 to the CGA Academy Elite. Olivia Wyatt, Isabella Lucky and Ellie Morrisroe each had a goal for the Thorns. Despite the loss, the Thorns were invited to play in the USYS Far West Regional Championships in Boise from June 21-27.
