The FBC (Finest Basketball Club) Idaho 15U girls basketball team, part of the NWA Northwest Alliance, is in Indianapolis this week to compete in three different tournaments. On Wednesday, FBC Idaho 15U will play its second game against a Nike EYBL team, Team Takeover. This organization has won more EYBL championships than any other club, FBC coach Terry Zufelt said. FBC Idaho 15U beat Essence, another EYBL team which includes some of the best players from Florida and Georgia, 61-59 in overtime in May in Birmingham, Ala. FBC Idaho 15U won the EOT Gem State Classic in April in Boise and also that month made it to the championship game in the Elite is Earned tourney in Phoenix. In May FBC Idaho 15U went 3-1 in the Spring Classic high school division to win that tournament. Five of these girls just helped Lake City go 23-0 in summer ball in June. Left to right. From left are Mya Alvarado, Kurtsten McKellips, Avery Waddington, Kamryn Pickford, Brooklynn Brennan, KaLia Frazey and Sophia Zufelt. Not pictured is Jenna Chase. All are from Lake City High with the exception of Brennan and Chase, who play for Post Falls, and Alvarado, who plays at Eisenhower of Yakima.
