4A Region 1 girls basketball championship: Game 1 slips away late from Lakeland
Lakeland led by 11 points late in the third quarter, but Sandpoint rallied to beat the Hawks 44-43 in Game 1 of their best-of-3 series for the 4A Region 1 girls basketball championship Wednesday in Rathdrum. Game 2 is Friday in Sandpoint.
