Police officers block the road at the Austrian border in Hegyeshalom, northwestern Hungary, Tuesday, March 17, 2020. By noon an almost 20-kilometer long line of cars waited on the Austrian side of the border. The Romanian Minister of Foreign Affairs has requested that Hungary open a humanitarian corridor for the Romanian citizens stuck in Hegyeshalom. Due to the coronavirus pandemic as of this day only Hungarian citizens can enter the country. Freight traffic continues as usual. For most people, the new coronavirus causes only mild or moderate symptoms, such as fever and cough. For some, especially older adults and people with existing health problems, it can cause more severe illness, including pneumonia.(Csaba Krizsan/MTI via AP)
