The Timbers North FC 06 Boys White soccer team traveled to Sandpoint last weekend to compete in the Pend Oreille Cup. Saturday morning they beat Surf Sorenson Surf from Eastern Washington 3-2 after trailing 2-0 in the first half. Timbers goals were made by Gabriel Jones, Bryant Donovan and Spencer Nelson, who was assisted by Landon Miller. On Saturday afternoon the team played Flathead Valley United Green of Kalispell, Mont., to a scoreless tie. Timbers goalkeeper Grant Schofield stopped at least 13 shots. On Sunday morning the Timbers lost 3-2 to the Nelson Selects of Nelson, British Columbia. Ari Rumpler had a goal and an assist for the Timbers, and Devin Pearson had a goal. The Timbers’ final game was a 6-0 loss to  FC Spokane 06B Vasquez.
