LOREN BENOIT/Press An early morning fire destroyed half of a home on Pine Hill Drive in Coeur d’Alene Thursday morning. The accidental fire started when an ash box was emptied from the wood stove into a plastic bucket on the house deck. The fire claimed the life of a dog. No one was injured.
