The Timbers North FC Boys ’03 Red soccer team placed second in the Idaho State Cup in Boise last weekend. On Friday, the Timbers beat Idaho Rush ’03 Premier 1-0. Cooper Proctor scored the Timbers’ lone goal on an assist from Nate Durocher. Tyler Allred was in goal for the shutout win. On Saturday, the Timbers beat the Boise Timbers FC B03 Red 3-0. Chris Swider led the Timbers with a goal and an assist. Logan Koller and Nate Durocher each scored for the Timbers. Walker Jump and Cooper Proctor each had 1 assist. Tyler Allred was again in goal for the shutout win. On Sunday, in a semifinal match, the Timbers beat CGA Academy 3-2. Chris Swider scored on an assist from Cooper Proctor. The match ended in a tie, with the Timbers advancing on penalty kicks. Chris Swider, Cooper Proctor and Zander Moore converted their penalty kicks. Tyler Allred made three big saves in the penalty kick shootout. On Monday, in the state championship match, the Timbers tied the Boise Timbers FC ’03 Academy 1-1. After 100 minutes of play, the match was ultimately decided by penalty kicks. The Timbers finished as Idaho’s state runners-up. Chris Swider scored the Timbers’ lone goal. Tyler Allred was credited with another outstanding performance in goal for the Timbers.
