Leanne Campbell, Coeur d’Alene Tribal member and cultural tourism coordinator for the Coeur d’Alene Casino Resort Hotel, is a recipient of the 2019 Esto Perpetua Award, a prestigious honor from the Idaho State Historical Society that recognizes those who make generous and important contributions to preserving Idaho history. “It’s a really big honor to be recognized like this by the state of Idaho,” she said. Locals make Idaho history (come alive)

On spring, summer and early autumn days, among masses of tourists and fair-weather appreciators roaming the downtown sidewalks, one person looks as though he stepped out of a history book.
